Pentaloc IV Injection (containing pantoprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to treat severe acid-related conditions, including gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive oesophagitis, peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It works by reducing stomach acid production, helping to heal stomach lining damage. Primary Uses: GERD/Reflux Esophagitis: Relieves acid reflux symptoms (heartburn, pain) and treats inflammation of the esophagus. Peptic Ulcer Disease: Treats ulcers in the stomach and small intestine.
