Hepp Forte Syrup belongs to a class of medications called haematinics, primarily used to treat anaemia (deficiency of iron and haemoglobin). Iron or folic acid deficiency occurs mainly due to poor diet, poor food absorption, or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy). Hepp Forte Syrup contains Elemental Iron and Folic acid. Elemental iron helps transport oxygen throughout the body and produce red blood cells. Folic acid works by boosting the production of red blood cells (RBCs) in the body. Together, Hepp Forte Syrup helps treat anaemia. Hepp Forte Syrup may cause side effects like nausea, constipation, stomach upset, pyrosis (burning sensation in the chest), and black or tarry stools. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and typically resolve on their own over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. Do not take Hepp Forte Syrup if you are allergic to iron, folic acid, or any of the ingredients of Hepp Forte Syrup. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This supplement should be given to a child under 12 years of age only if advised by the doctor.
